Conrad Lab moves to Portland

Don has spent a few months now in Portland, transitioning over from WashU to ONPRC/OHSU. Things have been busy and productive, and the lab is well on it’s way to 100% functionality.

Two post-doctoral fellows have decided to make the move to Portland – Liina Nagirnaja moved in the fall and Ana Lima plans to join us early in 2019. Graduate students Nicole Rockweiler and Min Jung continue on with their thesis work in the lab but have stayed in St. Louis. Post-doctoral fellow, Wu-Lin Charng has also decided to continue in the lab remotely.

With tremendous help from Ana and Min back in St. Louis, the lab was packed up in the beginning of December and everything arrived safely in Portland. Gary, the driver of the 80ft MEGA TRUCK was a very thoughtfully sent updates about the ‘health’ of our freezers along the way. Now that everything is here, we are looking forward to unpacking and getting our wet-lab experiments up and running at ONPRC.
